Borderless Ads

Reach Players in Their Playground with Scalable, In-Game Product Placements & Non-Intrusive Ads

What is Borderless Ads?

Borderless Ads is an in-game ad-tech solution that enables non-intrusive advertisements (AKA "blended" or "immersive" ads) and industry-first, brand-curated ad objects or product placements known as Branded Assets at scale for Web2 and Web3 games.

In games that have integrated the ReneVerse SDK, Borderless Ads can deliver dynamic image and video ad content to the surface of any in-game asset as desired by the game developer. Additionally, for both environmental advertisement surfaces and ReneVerse's novel Branded Assets, game developers and brands can integrate pre-determined ad interaction behaviors that send ReneVerse-registered players an email when triggered. These emails function to grant players the autonomy to proceed along a brand's conversion funnel without being ripped away from their current play session and forced to engage.

How does it work?

To add a Borderless Ad into a game, a game developer must first integrate an Ad Surface - essentially, an ad slot or placeholder where image and video content can be uploaded. Once a game developer has determined where their Ad Surfaces will be placed within their game environments inside of Unity, the ReneVerse SDK handles receiving advertisement content from Brands via the ReneVerse Portal. That's it - quick and simple.

Built on top of ReneVerse's Borderless Interoperability Engine, Borderless Ads' Surfaces are Borderless Assets themselves. In other words, these are distinct, identifiable in-game assets that are recognized by the ReneVerse SDK and can be saved as asset templates whose appearances can be quickly updated with a brand's logo or ad creative. As such, developers have maximum control over the degree of advertising presence within their games. Ultimately the potential limit of Borderless Ads' integrations is determined by the volume of advertisers (brands) and connected games (ad publishers) within the ReneVerse ecosystem.

Why should I integrate Borderless Ads into my game?

Borderless Ads is the world's first Web3-enabled, non-intrusive in-game adtech solution, and it offers specific benefits to game developers and players that would not be possible without its blockchain infrastructure.

One of these is ad surface ownership - the ability for a developer or player to own a Borderless Ad "slot" on an in-game asset and monetize it. Given that game developers create the Ad Surfaces within their games, it is their right to do whatever they wish with them - whether that is to lend them right away to advertisers or to sell them entirely to others for potentially lucrative offers. This is only possible because ReneVerse's Borderless Ads are Web3-enabled, and Ad Surfaces are uniquely identifiable assets.

Another reason is modularity - the ability for developers to quickly and concurrently integrate, edit, or remove Borderless Ads campaigns from different brands at a moment's notice. Alternative blended ad solutions for gaming often necessitate the interference of developers to alter the game's current state to onboard new ad campaigns; this is cumbersome and time-inefficient. With Borderless Ads, developers can simply update existing Ad Surfaces with new content via the Portal, meaning the game never has to go offline or receive some global update.

Finally, there are huge rewards - by coupling a familiar ad-revenue system from traditional digital advertising with Web3-enabled tracking of player-consumer data, ReneVerse offers revenue-sharing, with 70% of all ad dollars distributed back to game developers.

Integrating with ReneVerse services depends on your role. Developer flow is for game or project developers that want to integrate ReneVerse services into their product. Advertiser flow is for those who want to integrate their brands into games that utilize their ReneVerse services, and the creator flow is for those who want to create some content that will be used inside games integrating ReneVerse services. Please select down below the one that you need.
